Will the Race Book be updated?
The updated version of the Race Book has been shared at the same time as this document, denoting these clarifications. Any additional changes made will be shared via email and communicated clearly.
Qualifiers
What is the deadline for National Federations to confirm their rider allocations for the semi-finals?
The deadline to confirm using your quote is June 30 and we ask that you share specific names by July 31. The exact start list will be announced publicly at a later date.
Is the format for the finals confirmed as stated, or will it evolve? I.E. will the stages be made longer?
Any changes in race format or duration will be communicated clearly to all expected participants. At this time, both the semi-final and live final race formats are agreed upon and should be expected to remain as stated in the technical guide.
What files or file format is needed for the National team kit to be virtually created?
Full vector file format (.ai or .ps).
When is the recommended time to host the qualifier races for National Federations?
We recommend each NF host their qualification racers in June or July, as the publication qualification pathway will begin sometime in August, with exact dates to be announced later.
When will the calendar and format for the public qualification pathway to the semi-finals be published?
The public qualification is expected to be announced in early July.
Can the National Federation quota be selected and confirmed following the public qualifiers?
Yes, but a National Federation will still be expected to confirm their anticipated riders according to the timeline mentioned in the earlier question.
Finals
If a rider were to qualify for the live finals, does the rider or federation get to accept the spot?
All spots to the live finals are awarded directly to the athlete, and any substations or adjustments will be made at the discretion of the UCI.
Will the defending Esports World Champion be automatically entered into the finals?
Wild card submissions will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If a defending World Champion cannot participate in the semi-finals, they may be considered for a wild card entry into the finals.
Will National Federation support staff have their travel expenses covered to the live finals to support the athletes?
No, MyWhoosh will only cover the expenses for the riders.
How many support staff will be allowed at the live finals to support the riders?
As many as the riders feel necessary, but expenses are not covered by the organisers of the event.
Will a “clean” stream be provided to federations to livestream their national commentary?
Yes, it will.
